Welcome Vocalists!
Our first and foremost intent is to cultivate an authentic desire to worship The Holy Triune God. It is the desire of our Worship Ministry to reflect the truth that Jesus speaks of in John 4:23-24 – Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is Spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in Truth.
The following values should be exhibited by those who are serving in all areas of Worship Ministry:
- Theology – a right understanding of who God is, and why we do what we do.
- A Heart of Worship – our first and foremost intent is to cultivate an authentic desire to worship the Holy Triune God.
- Faithfulness (Growth) – God asks for our best. We understand that God has given us all that we have, but in the way of our relationship with God and the gifts that he has bestowed to each believer, we cannot settle for complacency in where we are currently. We should be striving to be like those in the parable of the talents (Matthew 25:14-30) who multiply that which God bestows on us.
- Engagement – our desire for worship is for it to be exactly that: a time where the corporate (gathered) people of God may unite in heart, mind, soul and strength as we seek to glorify God best in our lives.
Vocal Teams
Choir
Sings once every six weeks and will rehearse the three weeks leading up to the scheduled Choir Sunday. The choir will learn light harmony parts as they prepare to participate during our time of corporate worship.
Small Ensemble
Ranges from 8-14 voices that will sing more intricate background vocal parts and will be used to augment specific musical styles.
Mic Team
Composed of 2-3 vocalists in addition to the worship leader for most Sundays.
